The City Council of Vic, the Generalitat of Catalonia - through the Forestry Property Center, the Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN) and the General Directorate of the Natural Environment -, the Osona County Council, the Forestry Technology Center, the Cluster of the Biomass and the Provincial Councils of Barcelona and Gerona, participate in the organization of the Biomass Fair of Catalonia.

The objectives of this new edition are:
  1. Expand the exhibition offer: the Biomass Fair is consolidated and has all types of non-forestry biomass and companies that work with complements of the use of biomass in the industrial field and other sectors such as construction. For this reason, we want to expand the supply of agglutinating exhibitors from the biogas sector and waste treatment.
  2. Meeting point: the Fair will become the meeting point of associations, guilds, etc., of the sector, where they will hold annual meetings with their associates.
  3. Internationalization: speakers and assistants from other regions of Europe will be expected to exchange experiences and promote actions to promote both biomass and biogas, through the transfer of knowledge.
The entrance to the Fair is free and is addressed to all companies linked to the biomass and biogas sector, to final consumers and to the general public, in order to promote biomass as a domestic energy source and biogas as an alternative to energy to livestock facilities.

In addition to the exhibition space, the Fair will feature different parallel activities such as professional meetings, conferences and workshops for all audiences.
